Profile:  Colin has 37 years’ experience in the marine geo-survey and marine infrastructure installation industries.  He specialises in geophysical, geotechnical, environmental, hydrographic survey and installation operations for the oil/gas, pipeline, subsea telecommunication and power cable, offshore/coastal engineering and renewable energy industry sectors.  He has worked as an independent Consultant for major energy producers, cable and pipeline installation companies, survey contractors, public utility bodies and insurance underwriters throughout the world

He has a proven track record in many types of geo-survey, route engineering, geotechnical/environmental sampling, hazard identification (including UXO), site survey, marine construction and inspection works; Purchaser/Client Representation, QC/QA, project design and survey specification.  He has a strong HSE focus and is a competent Project Manager with excellent research, technical interpretation and reporting skills

CERTIFICATION

Full, current Oil & Gas UK, Norway, Denmark and Netherlands compliant Offshore Survival Certificate, including escape shute training, fire fighting and helicopter underwater escape with Compressed Air (CAEBS) training.  Completed International Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST) course.  Certified medically fit for offshore work (UKCS Offshore Oil and Gas Medical Certificate and also separate Medical Fitness to Work Certificate per RenewableUK Wind Turbine Guidelines for near offshore and land projects).  Full clean driving licence.  Full valid British Passports (x 2) and Seaman’s Card. Full GWO Basic Safety Training Modules (Wind Farm) incorporating –working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, 2 days’ first aid, sea survival including transfer training.  Completed IOSH Managing Safely course.  Valid O&G UK Passenger Size Certificate.
